Welcome to Brailsford and Ednaston Cricket Club, a local family club, steeped in tradition (est.1896) and dedicated to developing grass routes cricket for players of all ages.
With 4 Senior Teams and 6 Junior Teams and a Ladies Softball Team we appeal to every level of cricketer from a junior beginner to a seasoned professional. Our club is dedicated to competitive and enjoyable sport, giving all players the opportunity to develop their enjoyment in cricket, their social interaction and long term friendships.
We are a progressive, inclusive, welcoming club with good facilities to the west of Derby.

We have two picturesque, traditional village grounds at Pools Head Brailsford and the Osmaston Polo Ground, at Osmaston. Our 4 senior teams compete in the Derbyshire County League, the 1st team playing in Division 3, 2nd team in Division 6 South, 3rds in Division 9 South and our 4th Team play in Division 10 West.
The club has recently been re-accredited with the ECB ClubMark and have a thriving Junior Section for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 17 with teams playing in the Derby & District Junior Cricket League. Plus our Ladies Cricket is also growing quite rapidly.
We have good playing and recreational facilities at the ground, which include a fully licensed bar.
Over the past few seasons our results have results been steadily improving. We've had some good youth team players progressing through to the 2nds and then into the 1stXI which has helped to strengthen our squads.

Junior Section
We have a great Junior Section and our accredited children's programmes growing year on year.
We have been an All Stars Cricket Centre for a few years now and, from 2020, we will have a new Dynamos Cricket Centre with it's own follow on Academy.
Sport is a great pastime for children of any age and, of course, being great is encouraged but participation and having fun are our major goals.

We hire our ground out for corporate events and parties and can help you with marquee hire and catering contacts for any occasion.
Once our new pavilion is finished, this will also be available for hire. Particularly in the off season, when Cricket is not being played, the new pavilion should make an excellent venue for weddings, along with many other functions, given our idyllic setting.
